My Top 50 Board Games

Here is a list of my 50 favourite games. To make this easier I gave myself a few headlines to break up the types of games I like to play and places I like to play them. I mainly play games with my wife and socially it tends to be smaller lighter games that you can take out. As you can see I love a mid-weight Euro. My taste in film and music is a little broader than my taste in board games. I'd love to hear recommendations for more weird and wonderful games, which are hidden gems. A lot of these games have very personal stories behind them and I will write about these soon. One being I tied an engagement ring to a handmade tile of Bag End in Carcassonne, allowing me to propose through my love of games and Tolkien. Games like Scrabble, Love Letter and Boggle have been staples with my family and we play these all the time. My favourite European city (if only there was a Berlin game!) is Lisbon, and getting Lisboa to the table was a dream. These are listed in no particular order. Just as they popped into my head.
