The Eye of the Day

This is a selection of recordings from one of the greatest documentaries ever made, The Eye of the Day (2001). Part one of a trilogy of films from Leonard Retel Helmrich. The first time I watched this movie all I could think about was how I'd love to listen to this again. This stayed with me until I got out the audio interface, watched the movie and captured those incredible moments. A masterpiece of documentary filmmaking - I implore you to go pick it up on DVD or stream it. Alternatively, close your eyes, sit back and imagine yourself in a vibrant world. Indonesia is such a rich and incredible place that shows the best and worst of humanity. Wonderful complex people - as we all are. No tracklist. This is a journey into Helmrich's vision of the incredible people he filmed.
